Kia ora,
We’re rapidly reaching the end of the year, so before I get too wrapped up in holiday mode, I thought I’d have some fun and do an end of year round up of my most popular posts. Like Spotify wrapped but for adventure books!
The most popular article on my website was a guide to travel & adventure genres. It’s all about the different subgenres that are in the travel and adventure genre, and it has examples for each genre. Are there any I forgot? Reply and let me know.
The most popular post on my @travel.write.edit Instagram was a quote from Tim Mathis’s The Camino for the Rest of Us (great book, by the way – get it on Amazon).
The most popular reel on my Insta was confused about grammar? I still stand by my answer to that question: don’t worry. You know more grammar than you think, and I’m here to help if you need it.
Finally, the book I enjoyed the most this year was The Cold Inside: A story about mountains, friendship, and doubt, by Paul Hersey. Wonderfully poetic, quiet, and calming, even when the stakes were not so calm. How about you? What’s been your favourite book this year?
So that’s my top picks for 2024! Thanks for being here this year. Your time is much appreciated! Happy reading and writing.
Deborah
