Kia ora,
It’s the last month of the year, and everything is happening all at once for me. We had an issue with our septic tank (the less said about that the better), I’m deep in edit mode for a repeat writer, but in all that, we managed to get away for a few days.
If you’re like me and listen to far too many podcasts, here’s one I recommend: Gone to Timbuktu from Sophy Roberts, and especially episode 9 with Leon McCarron. In that episode, they talk about Leon’s book, Wounded Tigris (an excellent book, by the way).
Deer Wars is another great series about the history of New Zealand’s deer hunters. It’s full of absolutely bonkers moments and hair raising helicopter flights.
Do you have any podcast recs? Reply and give them to me! I’m always on the lookout for new series.
Talk soon,
Deborah
PS. The photo at the top of this email is from our trip. It’s at Lake Alta near Queenstown. Great walk!
