Kia ora,
I’m preparing for some much-needed time off, so this week I’m sharing a list of interesting links for you to check out.
- The Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards for 2025 have been announced! I’m keen to add Black Ghosts by Noo Saro-Wiwa to my to-be-read list. It looks like a really interesting topic.
- There’s a new-ish post on Jane Friedman’s website about backstory in memoir, similar to the post I put out a couple of weeks ago.
- The China Books Podcast had a great interview with writer Paul French last year. Paul talked about his book, Her Lotus Year, which is about Wallis Simpson’s travels in China.
Okay. I’m going to log off. See you next week!
Deborah
PS. My out-of-office is on, so if you send me an email, I’ll check in when I turn my laptop back on.
