Last week I was knocked out with a cold. I must have caught it in Wanaka when I was at the festival. So I took a few days off; editing is brain work, and if the brain is fuzzy, the editing is too!
This week I’m reflecting on the first half of the year and looking ahead.
My main goal this year has been to upload a blog post every month. So far, I’ve done that! I have a big list of topics I want to cover – all about improving your adventure writing and bringing life to the page. If there’s a topic you want me to cover, reply and let me know.
My other goal is to come up with new ways to help you with your writing. At the start of the year I launched my manuscript evaluations, and soon I’ll launch the proofreading checklist (currently in testing).
I’d love to have more ways to help you. Here’s what I’m thinking:
- breaking down travel & adventure story structures so you can see what works
- guides for editing your own writing
- how to make Word and Google Docs work for you
Let me know if I’m heading in the right direction.
Until next week, happy writing!
Cheers,
Deborah
PS. How are you tracking with your goals? Got any writing goals or adventure goals you’re working on? Reply and tell me – I want to cheer you on!
